Taking A Poll
I love getting comments on my posts, and I always try to reply via email. Is that how most of you and/or other bloggers you follow respond to comments? Should I respond via a comment on my own posts instead? Let's say for instance someone leaves a comment asking what sewing machine I have or something that might be of interest to other readers - should I answer in a comment on my own post or privately via email?
A Hot Mess
Becky at The Barefoot Seamstress is throwing an unusual type of linky party right now called Hot Mess.

How fun is that? All you have to do is post your messy sewing or crafting room and you're eligible for a $25 gift card to StitchSteals! So here goes...this is my entry:
After I snapped these photos with my phone, I spent the entire day cleaning up this mess because our house is on the market and we have a showing tomorrow. Ugh!
Don't judge me too harshly, ok?

WIP 9/28

For WIP Wednesday, I have my Summer Sampler Series blocks to show you - I finally got around to finishing up the last 2 blocks in the series! (I apologize for the iPhone pictures in this post - I've misplaced my camera cord.) Here are all 12 blocks with the sashing pinned up on my design wall.
Be sure to see what everyone else is up to over at Freshly Pieced!
Calendar for Quilters
Y'all. There I was...just minding my own business, catching up on other people's blog posts in Google Reader, when I came across this post at Want It, Need it, Quilt!
Go ahead, click on the picture. You'll be transported to The Bitchy Stitcher where you can buy your very own 2012 Quilter's Shirtless Man and Spicy Burrito Calendar...an actual calendar of men holding quilts in one hand and a burrito (get your mind out of the gutter!) in another. Megan at The Bitchy Stitcher is freaking hilarious - here's proof.
And if you're wondering - yes, I did purchase one of these hysterical calendars. I even got one for my MIL Carole (a fellow quilter)! Carole, guess what'll be in your Christmas stocking!

Quilt Show!
Today my mother-in-law Carole and I are going to East Cobb Quilters' Guild's quilt show "Georgia Celebrates Quilts" at Cobb County Civic Center in Marietta, GA! It runs until Sunday at 4pm. I'll post some pictures later today.
September do. Good Stitches - Hope Circle

This month Lindsay asked us to use this Altered Four Square tutorial from Leah Riley's blog to make our blocks for the Hope Circle of do. Good Stitches {A Charity Bee}.
It was a pretty easy tutorial, and I used some of the Amelia fat eighths I won to make my blocks.
Brayden's Baby Clothes Quilt
I have a new commissioned quilt in the works! This will be similar in idea to my first commissioned quilt. The little boy's name is Brayden and look at the cute clothes I get to work with!
I've also made a gathered clutch using Anna's tutorial...I'm addicted to these little bags! This one is for my mother-in-law Carole. I used fabrics from her stash since she's a quilter also!

Need A Laugh?
Then you must go see Kaelin's latest post at The Plaid Scottie! You can thank me later.
