I'm in the Hope circle of do. Good Stitches (no, that's not a typo) which benefits Threading Hope.
For July, Hollie asked for a single strip measuring 48" by 6.5" that uses red as the main color. Here's my submission:
Dixie's Quilt - Finished!
Dixie and her quilt, a photo by JustSewY'allKnow on Flickr.
I finally finished quilting and binding the little quilt I made for my 2 year old chocolate Lab Dixie! She's giving me her best "would you stop taking pictures so I can go back to sleep?" look. Here's a shot of the front:
The pieced back:
For the quilting I did wavy lines through the brown strips using brown thread, then wavy lines through the middle of the pieced sections with variegated orange thread, to bring in the orange binding.
I'm entering this quilt in the Pets on Quilts Show!

Dixie Wants One Too!
Dixie, my 2 1/2 year old chocolate Lab, loves blankets anything that resembles a blanket. She's often in my sewing room keeping me company and always manages to find some unfolded fabric or quilt top in process to nap on. Last night after shooing her off the backing for my Windowpane quilt, I decided to make a small quilt just for her.
I finished the top today and started preparing the binding, but haven't gotten around to quilting it yet. I think she likes it already!
I'm linking up to these sites - check out what other people have been up to!
